How to Apply for a Master’s Degree Program

If you have obtained your qualification for postgraduate studies (e.g. your bachelor’s) in a country outside of the EU/EWR or Switzerland, you need to apply for a Preliminary Documentation (VPD) via uni-assistbefore applying to TUM.

Apply through this portal TUMonline for a master’s program at TUM.

The application wizard will guide you step by step through the online application. Check the status of your application regularly in your TUMonline account to keep up-to-date.

You must show proof of your transmitted electronic data by sending us paper documents as wellThis means, regardless whether you have received notification of admission or not, you must send your signed admission or enrollment application form and copies of your original documents by post by the specified deadline to TUM. The system will automatically generate the application form at the end of the online application process.

Acceptance into a master’s program at TUM requires auniversity degree which is recognized as a master’s degree entrance qualification. TUM accepts qualified bachelor’s or master’s degrees, aDiploma, or state examinations from internationally accredited universities.
