Brandon University is located in the western part of Manitoba, one hour north of the Canada-United States border.

Brandon University offers undergraduate and graduate degrees through its faculties of Arts, Education, Health Studies, and Science and its School of Music. BU values excellence in teaching and research.

One interesting thing international students cherish so much about the Province of Manitoba, where Brandon University is located is the Health Insurance:
Manitoba Health basic coverage is provided free of charge to all international students who hold a study permit valid for at least six months. Students in at least 18 credit hours of university classes per year qualify for Green Shield extended health care for a cost of C$250 per year.

Entry Requirements:

Students from outside Canada who apply for admission to Brandon University are required to have met the minimum requirements for admission to a University in the country in which they graduated from High School. In addition, they must also have met the academic requirements set out by the faculty or school at Brandon University to which they are seeking admission.

English Language Proficiency Requirement

International students will be required to submit evidence of acceptable English. Brandon University recognizes CAE, CAEL, CANTEST, CPE, IELTS, MELAB, PTE, TOEFL. International student may wish to enroll in our English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program. International students may be eligible for an English language waiver if they have studied in an English environment. See for more information.

Accommodation Options:

The accommodation in one of the university residences costs between C$800 and C$1000 per month. This includes room rental fees and food costs. Students must agree to stay in residence for at least three months. Short-term accommodation for the purposes of finding private accommodations is not allowed. A non-refundable residence application fee of C$60 must accompany all application
