How To Apply For Admission to Study in Canada

If you have been trying hard to apply for admission into a university or college in Canada but have not been able to do that, then this article is for you. I will try as much a I can to be brief and straight to the point. Canada is one of the popular study abroad destinations for students because of the high quality of education and the job opportunities available to students.

Preparing an admission application and sending it with required documents can be a difficult work if you are not familiar with the application process. So in this article, I will explain how you can apply for admission into a Canadian university or college and receive an offer within two to three weeks of application. I have sent lots of applications to Canadian schools on behalf of my clients and received all admission offers, so I’m writing out of experience.

 Search for your program

This is usually the first step. You will have to search for your program in the school you have chosen. To do this, go to the school’s website and click on programs/courses and then search for your program. If you cannot find your program, you can write or contact the school to confirm if they offer such program as some of them do not update their website’s program list often. Check the requirements

Once you have seen your program, you will have to check for the requirements if you meet them. If you apply to a program you have not met the requirements, the admission department will not give you an offer. So its always advisable that you check the requirements before sending your application. In addition to this, you also need to check the start date for that particular program.

Start your application

The next thing you do is to start your application once you have checked the requirements and met all of them. So how do you do this? When you are on the school’s webpage, look around it, you will always see a link for application. Some schools can display the link as ”Online Application”, “Apply Here” or “Admissions”. Just click on it and you will be taken to the online application form. Please ensure that you fill this form as accurately as you can. After filling the form, read the instructions to know if you should upload your documents or send it with the application form to the school.

Pay application fees

Before you submit your application, you must pay a non refundable fees of 70Cad$ to 120Cad$. To pay this money, you will need to have a valid credit card that allows for payments online. Insert the card details correctly and make payment. Once you have done this, the school will send you a mail containing an e-receipt stating how much you have paid. Another mail will come from the admissions office thanking you on the successful application to their school and when your offer will be ready.

Track your application

Most Canadian schools use two to three weeks to process admissions offer. However, if you have not recieved your offer during this period you need to track your application on the application portal or you contact the school by sending them and email about the problem.
